Summer is the greatest unsupervised time for many children. Statistics show that idle time is when most children are tempted to get into trouble. To address those concerns AAMAN created a Summer Camp for these at-risk youth. "Camp AAMAN" will provide a safe environment for children of families at or below the poverty level to attend a Summer Camp. Without Camp AAMAN, most, if not all, of these at-risk youth would not be able to attend a Summer Camp. All children are welcomed.

Camp Begins:
Monday, June 21, 2010 and ends Friday, August 6, 2010
Day Camp Hours: kids ages 4 to 12
7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Overnighters: kids ages 8 to 12
There will be a Central, Daily Pick-up and Crop-off location for those that need it.

We must first thank God for John Dumars owner of John Dumars Archery. John truly believes in Camp AAMAN and sent the good news to his friend Bob Benedict with the Rod and Gun Club in West Salem, Wisconsin. Bob and AAMAN are working out possible arrangements to share their space for at least one day a week for overnight camping and other activities for Camp AAMAN 2009. Since then, AAMAN has secured 43 acres for our Camp AAMAN camp site in Houston County, MN.

Camp AAMAN 2009 was bursting with activities to fill your child's days. Our activities included a Natural Rain-fed Pond, Hiking, Arts & Crafts, Sports, learning Spanish and our Literacy Program. Campers also enjoy going go on field trips and On-Site programs such the Native-American Drummers; Singers and Dancers, Camp Fires, Nature Walks, Owl calling, Farm Animals and more!.
